Written and illustrated by Dr Megan Bunce with a foreward by Archbishop Stephen Cottrell and a section on Saint Aelred by Lucy Beckett, a Medieval novelist and historian along with an introduction by George Gyte whose vision and drive have led to the creation of the trail. The Walking notes have been written and devised by Mal Gyte and Joyce Garbutt.
